Ebonite Bowling acquired several other independent companies to build a large porfolio of professional bowling brands. Essentially selling very similar items, different branding of each company under the umbrella required vast personality differences for each imprint. Hammer was known as the "bad boy's" brand that welcomed aggressive ideas, Track stood for precision, Columbia for a High Life-kinda good time, while Ebonite remained the serious pro go-to.
